I know there are so many debates and questions about the existence of God or how He came to be. Some scientists or intellectuals wouldn't believe in Him unless they could prove His origin. Some would only believe in Him if they were able to explain or understand how the Creator was created before He created His creatures. All these doubts are valid to the reasoning mind, and I would like to put forward a simple approach to support the reasoning behind the origin of the Creator.
My approach is simply to reason about our existence. Why do I say that? Because the Bible mentioned that we are created in God's image. So your two hands, two legs, and single head were formed on purpose and for a purpose. Therefore, think about your origin. It's very easy to remember the name of our father's father, but who knows the name or origin of their great-grandfather? I know most in the developed world would have these records, but do you know the name of your great-great-great-grandfather? If we keep going down that trail, I believe you will find that at some point your knowledge about your family's genealogy will fade, and what you will be left with is a verbal information passed down in the form of a story from someone along the line. When your knowledge about your origin eventually fades, does that mean your ancestors never existed? If you refute your family's inexistence, why would you not just believe that we are not privy to the data about the origin of an immortal God and just believe in Him all the same? You will agree with me that your existence is the proof that your progenitor existed at some point in time. Therefore, if you are sufficient proof to validate the existence of your progenitors, that they ever walked about on their two legs, engaged in some economic crafts with their two hands, and reasoned with their heads. Then you should also be sufficient as a proof that the immortal God exists and more so in His infinite unconditional love.
Let's revisit the evolution theory with this approach: say we originated from tadpoles or monkeys; why haven't monkeys transformed into humans in recent years? To an extent, we can observe some truth behind the evolution theory with the way humanity hates each other, how we are so quick to betray and kill each other out of jealousy, self-centredness, and pure hatred, or sell our birthright for a morsel of meat. I reckon that our brain never transformed beyond the realm of the animal kingdoms where basic laws and basic human rights don't matter. All that matters is the survival of the fittest.
Should we keep ignoring what we don't know because our knowledge about the data to prove its existence is lost through unbelief? We have speculated the existence of the sun as one of the gifts that transcended from the big bang, but how about the existence that allowed the big bang to bang? All our inquisition about God's origin is not stupid; neither is it irrelevant or heretical, but we should settle for the fact that we do not have the data to prove or disprove that, but we have an opportunity to experience Him personally to prove or disprove His existence and much more His love. Nevertheless, the responsibility is on you to choose whether you want to stay in your unbelief or whether you want to experience Him personally.
I wish you a very Merry Christmas! Shalom aleichem brothers and sisters.
