The names of God : YHWH Ropheka - the Lord that Healeth thee

Exodus 15:26 NMV

[26] And said, If youi will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon youi, which I have brought upon the Mitzri: for I [am] Yehovah Rof’ekha [Messiah Pre-Incarnate that heals you].

Everyone of us knows this name of our God and on more than one occasion we have summoned Him based on His capacity on this name. However, I don't think we fully understand what the extent of the name is. I have been pondering if there's any difference between Jehovah Rapha and Jehovah Ropheka, at least from the textual arrangements one could visually see some differences. So as an inquisitor who has obtained mercy, I went digging for answers.

My findings are not alarming as I thought and I have to settle for the truth discovered, and that truth is that Jehovah Ropheka or Rophe is the Hebrew word representing God's capacity as the Healer. While Jehovah Rapha is the English transliteration of the same name. However, while re-reading the verse which is the first mention of the name of God as Jehovah Ropheka (never forget the law of first mention), I saw an insight worthy of exposition. That’s that we have to check our full understanding of the name of God as Jehovah Rapha. We have always called Him the healer or God that heals, which is true, but according to the anchor text, He is not just the healer or the God that heals, but the Lord that heals YOU. There's definitely a resounding difference between a healer and a healer that heals you. One talks about the general ability of someone to heal but does not talk about the person's willingness or availability to heal. While the other specifies the someone's capability, availability and willingness to heal and firmly expresses His interest in healing you (the person requesting His services). That's more encouraging, encompassing and personalized.

Beloved, yes God is a healer, but He wants you to know that He is more than a healer. As a loving Father who has a sweet personal relationship with His children, He wants to heal YOU. Think about it from the medical standpoint, in the medical field we have general practitioners (GP), and we have specialists. Based on our knowledge, GPs, often referred to as a primary care physician, they are the first point of contact for most medical needs. They provide comprehensive care, including diagnosing and treating common illnesses, managing chronic conditions, and recommending specialist referrals when necessary. Specialists, on the other hand, are doctors who have undergone further training and expertise in a particular area of medicine, such as cardiology, dermatology, or ophthalmology. They focus on diagnosing and treating more complex medical conditions within their specialty (copied from online).

This same concept applies to God as Jehovah Rapha. He is definitely a healer for He can heal all things. However, the real knowledge of His healing office is that of a specialist who specializes in healing you. Meaning someone with the required or requisite knowledge to heal your specific case and situation. As mentioned earlier, He is not just capable of healing you, but also willing and available to heal you. Never forget the personal reference to the word YOU. Which is where I see most of us missing out. You must know God's office as the healer comes with a personalized specialist service of healing you. Why, because He mentioned in His word that He knows you by name, He formed you specifically and with a loving intentionality, and if He created you with so much love and purpose, I also believe as a God who is so perfect, He would have created enough spares of whatever you need healing for. The nugget here is to know that Jehovah Rapha is interested in healing you. He is knowledgeable about every condition and knows what to do when you truly solicit His healing services. Psalms 103:3 corroborates this finding by highlighting that Jehovah Rapha is a specialist in healing YOUR diseases, while Romans 8:26 also refers to the specialized and personalized ability of Jehovah Rapha in helping OUR infirmities. In all these verses, you'll note that the service of God as a healer is tailored and personalized.

In conclusion, in Matthew 15:26, Jesus mentioned that "healing is the children's bread" meaning that to access this specialist service you must be one of His. You see the point why He is not just a healer but the Lord that heals YOU? That 'you' mentioned in the scripture comes from a genuine mutual relationship between the Healer and the healee (pardon my English smiles). Hence why you can go boldly to the throne room of grace to obtain healing for the time of your need (Hebrews 4:16).

If you are certified of your relationship with Him, henceforth, when you solicit His service as your healer, go boldly to the throne room of His healing grace knowing that He is a specialist willing and readily available to heal you. Let this knowledge fuel your request and confidence in our God Jehovah Rapha, and you will definitely see His healing virtue overflowing you and in all situations.
