Letter to Judas

Dear Mr. Iscariot,

I hope you are not blaming yourself, wherever you may be, between heaven and hell. I have tried to study the scriptures to understand where that might be, but I have a strong feeling you may not be with Father Abraham in his bosom, given the circumstances of your departure from Earth. I hope you find courage in my letter, because after reviewing the scriptures, I noticed that you played a significant, albeit negative, role in the freedom that some of us enjoy today. Hence, the reason for writing this letter to you. On behalf of the 2.4 billion believers in Christ, I would like to thank you for betraying Jesus. Your betrayal was instrumental in the implementation of God's redemption plan for humanity. After all, someone had to do it, right? I am sorry it had to be you. Nevertheless, I am grateful for your role. Your decision to turn Him over to the Pharisees meant that Satan's victory dance was short-lived. The evil you expressed on that fateful day in the Garden of Gethsemane was the reason we can truly see the light today. Among other things, you expedited the salvation process by shedding the blood of an innocent man for the sanctification of global society and for anyone who believes in Him.

I know you may have noticed a peculiar light surrounding those who believe in the name of Jesus. This leads me to wonder what it was truly like to be in His physical presence. It was clear that Jesus' death was inevitable, and you played a significant role in facilitating that event. Through His death, we have obtained—and will continue to obtain—true life! It was essential for Jesus to endure humiliation on the cross; it was necessary for Him to be spat upon and pierced in the side, releasing the final grace of water and blood through which we now experience profound redemption. It was also necessary for His garments to be auctioned off in the Ebay of your time. He had to face the cruelty of betrayal so that we could genuinely experience the true meaning of Agape love. I know all these points may adversely affect your social ratings in the heavenly realm, as you were the one who betrayed and sold the blameless, thus condemning the Son of God. Nevertheless, I would like to express my gratitude for your assistance.

I learned that you wrote a book detailing your experience with Jesus. I am curious if you also explained the reasons for the betrayal in the book. Would you recommend that I read it? I would really like to know your perspective on the allegations made against you in the Holy Scriptures. They mentioned that you often mismanaged the ministry's coffers when you were in charge. I hope my inquiries are not too much to ask. I am only trying to understand the extent of your involvement.

Yours in Christ,

The new creature and follower of Christ
